Sprint into Summer
Until 9 August, and between 24 - 31 August we will be ‘running’ cheetah events in support of SPRINT.
Art in the park
See Oliver Strong’s exciting display of wildlife sculptures from 12 August. You can also catch the world’s largest annual display of wildlife art 27 – 30 August including entries to the ‘BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year’ 2009 awards.
Summer BBQ evenings
Every Friday in August it’s BBQ time with a drinks reception and tasty food at Café Graze. Each evening starts at 7pm and prices are reduced for Annual Pass holders.
Pssst - Have you seen our new TV advert?
It's more than just a walk in the park. |
See Summer’s new arrival
We are celebrating the recent birth of a Brazilian tapir. The humbug-striped baby girl was born on Tuesday 21 July as part of a conservation breeding programme for the species. The new arrival was born after a 13 month gestation to proud mum Summer. See our "humbug" close up.
Make a cheetah mask and win
Here’s a great way for your kids to have some creative fun during the summer holidays and win a unique sunset safari for 20 people! Take a photo of your child in their decorated mask and email it to marwell@wave105.com
with your details to enter. Wear it to the park and get a discount at the gift shop! Download the cheetah mask and get started.
Storytelling with “The Professor”
Visit the park between 10 -14 August and 17-21 August and take part in a fascinating story telling session. It’s one of the world’s oldest forms of drama and entertainment, and Ian B Dunne, science storyteller and finalist in Radio 4's Wildbrain of Britain, will be at Marwell conducting story telling sessions for children of all ages.
In recognition of volunteers from IBM Hursley, IBM UK are proud sponsors of the Marwell Wildlife e-newsletter.
